Trip to New York and Boston

Friday 12 June – land at huge airport (JFK), train to Grand Central (very nice and modern station), check in at Pod 39. Dinner with Yuewen’s friend Xing Yi at Sichuan restaurant.

Saturday 13 June – Grand Central concourse, Bryant Park, New York Public Library. Hare Krishna parade. Central park.

Sunday 14th June – 9/11 memorial, Oracle transport hub, downtown, Liberty and Ellis Islands, Statue of Liberty, Immigration Museum, China Town, Greenwich Village.

Monday 15th June – walking tour to Little Italy and Soho, Roosevelt Island, and Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Center) observation deck

Tuesday 16 June – Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo

Wednesday 17 June – Travel to Boston, harbour walk, lobster roll

Thursday 18 June – Harvard tour, Freedom Trail, Old State House, South Meeting Room, Bunker Hill Monument

Friday 19 June – Revere Beach, Back Bay, and journey home
